Pretty Absurd

What Bo Pelini did this past Saturday was absurd.  There's no place for that in college football, or college athletics anywhere.  It's fine to be passionate, it's great to be emotionally involved and I don't know what was said or what the context was for the blow up, but it's pretty embarrassing.  Think about it like this, if that was another 18-22 year old guy who was in Martinez's face like that, Taylor would have pushed him, hit him or at least stood up for himself.  Instead, it was his 43 year old coach.  Taylor couldn't do anything.  If he yelled back it would have made things worse for him.  If he stood up for himself and pushed his finger into Bo's chest, he's probably kicked off the team (suspended for sure).  Hell, if he gets a disinterested look on his face he's going to be judged in the media on some level.  There's a whole bunch of coaches who have won a whole bunch of games at every level without acting like Pelini did Saturday.  And, in case you missed it, here's the video...
